Hello. What a fascinating opportunity to be in Japan! Very rich culture for those who can appreciate it. I took Japanese years ago and I need practice myself. Best of luck with things. Definitely visit Kyoto (my favorite city from the ones I have visited in Japan) , and Nara for its historical value :)
