Same situation. I adopted Zuzia when she was 6 months old and already had this name. And Kacper was my grandma's cat. I took him when she died 8 years ago.
I had alco third cat who's name was Lala. But also, I didn't give her this name :P

By the way, why is a Colombian studying Dutch? Just learn English and try to find a job here in the Netherlands for three months (tourist guide, translator, etc.) and you'll have the basics.
