I understand it's easy to get distracted and lazy, I struggle with that too but it's certainly possible to discipline oneself.
The weather in L.A is great but I don't like that it rarely ever changes, it's sunny all-year long although there is the occasional rainy and cloudy weather.
As for the East coast following the damage from Hurricane Sandy, generally what happens is the federal, state and local governments mobilize all kinds of relief agencies to supply those in need with the basic necessities (food, water, shelter) meanwhile they also work on reconstruction and clean-ups. I'm not sure if this is the answer you are looking for, I feel it was too general and if it's not then just let me know :)

I had a great day today, I spent it downtown and then I went to the beach, it was all so tiring but fun and now I'm home to relax before school tomorrow >.< and how was your day?

Well let's see, in terms of music, my favorite genres would have to be the classic rock N roll along with heavy metal. I do enjoy all kinds of rock, whether it be soft rock, indie rock, alternative or glam. Same thing with metal, I'm into thrash, death metal, folk metal and some black metal as well. However I don't like some bands such as Guns N Roses and U2 :p I also listen to other music outside of rock and metal, such as underground rap and other foreign music.
Oh and as for movies, it's hard to pick out my favorites but I'm really fond of action, horror and comedy. :)
