I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you're not the type to trample on male pride because then that would a form of oppression, which would defeat the purpose of feminism, not that it isn't already happening. In that patriarchal system I think it is very much possible that men have been treated badly more than women, taking into account where and when they might have existed. What do you mean patriarchy is way overboard though?
