So far my favourite is Marseille. Perhaps it is because it was the first time I visited France, perhaps it is just because I like being close to the sea. I enjoyed Paris but didn't find it "French" enough for me. Like all capital cities I suppose, it is very cosmopolitan and one has to go elsewhere if one wants to discover the real country. I loved Toulouse, such a charming and attractive city and so easy to navigate as well.

Hello Femke, where in France have you been to so far? I have been to Marseille, Paris (twice) and Toulouse. I doubt my list is nearly as impressive as yours but there is a whole bundle of French cities I want to explore in the future.
