I live near Venice, but I'm not fully Italian, I am here since I was 15.
It is a nice place to live, is full of art and there's a strong culinary culture, people here like to eat well and see beauty everywhere :)
Unfortunately it's not a very modern country, they are very related to their past and here where I live (northeast) they have a very closed culture, so they don't like strangers, most people are very traditionalist.
