About Me:

I want (need) penpals from Europe. I am an American (Wisconsin) that will be escaping from here (hopefully sooner than later) and I want to learn about European countries. Oh yeah... I guess I have to add that I don't want to be solicited for money or business! Sorry not all Americans are rich.

Requests:

Pen pals that understand that I have a life but that I will write as often as I can.

Language Exchange Requests:

Unfortunately I do not remember most of the Spanish that I learned as a child. I do know American Sign Language but for obvious reasons it does not apply here.

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

Laughing out loud ( It tends to scare people that I laugh more on the inside than out loud.), stimulating conversation ( No one likes stupid people and I am too nice to walk away so I spend allot of time avoiding the intellectually challenged.), European culture ( Unlike Americans, they actually have one.) the 1930's thru 1950's ( I was born in the wrong era. ie. World War II.) Survivalism ( When our world goes to hell, everyone will be knocking at my door looking for help. Thank God I only have a three bedroom house.)

Favorite Music:

Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Lulu, Big band swing, Old country, Barry Manilow ( That's right. I said it! Now deal with it.)

Favorite Movies:

To Sir With Love, In Bruges, The Commitments, Love Actually (Anything British or Irish. I guess I was born on the wrong continent too.)

Favorite TV Shows:

Not Going Out, Big Love,( Yes, I am a little fascinated with Poligamy.)The Vicar of Dibley, The Odd Couple, Jericho ( This show ROCKS!), Chelsey Lately, Bones

Favorite Books:

My Horizontal Life. Also anything educational ( I have a need to gain as much knowledge as possible.)

Favorite Quotes:

oh well thank you very much but I'm quite sure I'm not all those things, and saying them puts presure on me to live up to them in this comment! haha :D but it was very nice of you all the same :) It's good to see that not all old people (can I say old? are you old? is that offensive? but there isn't really any other way to put it... "all middle-aged people" "all generation x-ers"? mmm nothing quite works, but you know what I mean haha) are... well boring... and driven by socialy accepted models of success. I like your name too 'journey', I can't believe that wasn't even taken, I guess people are too bothered with grabing such awesome names as "John1234" or "--IaMsoSxC--" huh. And you still wear your nose piercing! ^_^
