One interesting scene for me in the movie is when the main character in the movie plays basketball with blacks while in prison and gets ostracized, to say the least, by those who were once his "friends." Prisons in America are racially segregated, and the system seems to encourage that ("divide and conquer"). What's really interesting is that many inmates are in interracial relationships and marriages themselves.
