woahhh, that sounds interesting! I envy you, I've never did student exchanging. you've got host family there? how coooolll! from what country your host family?
last time there's an offer to do student exchanging at my school. It needs the requirements such as the students who are interested must pass some the difficult selection tests and pay a sum of money, and unfortunately it was expensive. then they do the exchange for 10 months abroad, and when they arrived back to Indonesia, they have to repeat one year of study at school, that means you had 4 years in high school while the normal is just 3 years. so I refused to do that. is it same like yours when did exchanging to UK? btw, I hope you'll do exchanging again next time ;D

ahhh I see, I can understand. well, it's NOT normal here too. besides it is against the law, it doesn't match with the values and norms sytem that exist in Indonesian society. most of Indonesian are still traditional people so it's considered as impolite thing =)
