Yes, when I was younger we went sometimes to Głucholazy by Nysa and in the village of Boboszów in Kłodzko region. Only for buying clothes or potatoes. I have never been in the part of Poland where is something interesting (excepting lower prices).

Yes, we understand Polish, the older people better then the younger (some of them don't understand Slovak! - Slovak has less different vocabulary than Polish, in Polish are many foreign words). I understand Polish too, spoken (it's the only foreign language I can understand in the TV spoken form - e.g. I don't understand so well German radio as the Polish one).

Cześć, Kasio, czytałem Trilogię od Szenkiewicza. It was very interesting (but very optimistic too, the French realists are so depressive!). I have read Rodzina Polanieckich too (it is totally different and I don't know why its name is "rodzina", when there is only one person.

I know Wałbrzych, I suppose the city is a partner of Hradec Králové for some cultural purposes.
