Sorry to hear you weren't able to make it to Budapest. Still, the great thing about Europe is that everything's so close together, so you should have no trouble visiting it in the future and with relative ease.

How many exams do you have?

Yes, I'm interested in learning Czech. I'm looking to visit Prague next year and want to be able to speak at least some of the basics. It will be part of a trip consisting of three capital cities, with the others being Vienna and Budapest. My German is basic but passable and I ought to start my Hungarian soon as well.

I would be interested (and grateful) to hear more from you about your translation studies. What sort of things do you learn?

Hello Julia, how are your Czech studies going? Do you teach yourself or is it part of your translation course at university? You live in a wonderful city by the way. I visited Dresden as part of my first trip to Germany and now yours is one of my favourite countries in the world.
