About Me:

PLEASE NO MORE SNAIL-MAIL- PENPAL-REQUESTS FROM OVERSEAS. I AM SORRY, BUT I CANNOT AFFORD THE PERMANENTLY CLIMBING POSTAGE ANYMORE!

Men are very welcome as friends, as long as they behave well, are not looking for a wife and know how to write letters. They may feel free to contact me via my wall, since due to excessive scamming and spamming exclusively by men from Africa, Asia and North America I had to restrict my PM settings to women only.

====================================================

Da mein Leben inzwischen zu 80 % auf Englisch abläuft, suche ich jetzt vornehmlich Freunde aus deutschsprachigen Ländern und Freunde, die die deutsche Sprache gut beherrschen.

Meine Biographie: http://www.dilettantemusic.com/member/musica_antiqua

Du bist

--> Akademiker(in), Künstler(in) oder sonstwie an Kultur interessiert oder / und im Kulturbereich tätig und magst gute Gespräche auf intellektuellem Niveau.

--> mindestens 20 Jahre alt.

--> vorzugsweise kinderlos, oder, wenn nicht hast Du zumindest andere Hobbies, Interessen und Themen über die Du schreiben kannst, als Kinder und Hausarbeit. Wir haben zwar nichts gegen Kinder, aber wir bevorzugen ein Leben ohne sie und können deshalb zu diesem Themenbereich auch nichts beitragen.

--> der deutschen Sprache mächtig.

--> in der Lage Handschriften zu lesen, da ich meine Briefe normalerweise mit der Hand schreibe.

--> geduldig genug, auf meine Antworten zu warten. Ich habe nämlich schon ziemlich viele Freunde, nur leider kaum welche, mit denen ich auf Deutsch kommunizieren kann.

My biography: http://www.dilettantemusic.com/member/musica_antiqua

You are

--> an academic, artsy, or otherwise culturally interested or involved person who likes good conversations on an intellectual level.

--> at least 20 years old, as I have never been good in interacting with children.

--> preferably childless or, if not, have other hobbies, interests and topics to write about than exclusively children and housework. We have nothing against children, but neither of us has ever been too excited about them, so it is self-evident that we do not have any and cannot contribute anything to this topic.

--> fluent in either English or German or both, so that we can communicate without any problems. I don't want to get messages or letters written with an automatic translator or in such a poor language that I can't even understand what you are telling me.

--> capable of reading and adjusting to different peoples' individual handwritings, as I write all my postal letters except sometimes the first one by hand.

--> patient enough to wait for my letters, as I don't expect immediate replies either. Penpalling is a nice pastime, but I have an own life that keeps me busy, what I hope for you, too.

--> preferably from Europe -- especially the Baltic countries, the Nordic countries, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, San Marino, Andorra, Albania, Kosovo, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Malta --, Israel, Australia, New Zealand and East Asia.

Then feel free to contact me!

Please also have a look at Jim's profile on here (http://www.interpals.net/jbratone7) and say hello to him. He is looking for penfriends with the same qualities, too, and it would be nice to establish a global circle of common friends.

Requests:

I am really only interested in corresponding by letters,

--> not in forwarding chain- and mass-mails,

--> not in online-textchat using different instant-messenger-programmes,

--> not in joining any social-networking-sites that are increasingly used to spread viruses.

All you persistant folks who don't stop sending begging-messages, business-proposals, flirty and romantic messages and sexual offers:

--> I am not interested in your offers,

--> I am not interested in your scams,

--> I am not interested in bringing you into Europe,

and I will right away delete your messages and report you to the InterPals Team!

Please don't send friend requests before not having contacted me, especially not when you don't have a convincingly filled profile!

And if you decide to take yourself off my friendslist again, it would be nice, if you would inform me about that decision. Since I do not memorize usernames it is really difficult to find out who disappeared.

I don't like to use websites for staying in contact, so, as soon as I gave you my e-mail-address, I expect you to use that instead of this site for contacting me.

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

Classical Music, History (both also are my profession), Art, Poetry, Theatre, Reading, Languages & Linguistics, Medieval Theology-based Philosophy, Religions, Psychology
The Nordic Countries
Big Cats
Writing Letters
Collections: CDs, Books, Postcards; Dolls, Stuffed Animals

--> Music is my big passion and my profession, but exclusively classical music. If that is not your kind of music, please ignore the word "music" in the list of my interests and make sure that we have other interests in common. It would make it a lot easier to get into a conversation and become friends, if we would have something in common to talk about.

Favorite Music:

Favorite Movies:

Historical Movies: Die siebente Saite, Der König tanzt, Cyrano de Bergerac, Vatel, Elizabeth
Animal- and Nature-Movies: Pride -- Das Gesetz der Savanne, Königin der Wildnis, Drei kleine Strolche in der Wildnis, Zwei Brüder, Die Geschichte vom weinenden Kamel

Cinema and TV are fully dubbed and titles often changed in Germany, so talking about movies and TV will be difficult.

Documentaries, e. g. Big Cat Diary
