About Me:
I am American and of Anglo-Saxon and Persian descent. I have a 4 year degree in history and English literature. Right now I work with youth in need of shelter and assistance. I love that I'm involved with a non-profit organization. I have two cats and one dog, a mini dachshund.
I greatly enjoy the pursuit of knowledge and never grow tired of learning. I adore spending time in museums, libraries, and giggling over the absurd with my friends. I recently fell in love with the poetry of Sylvia Plath and while I have a deep appreciation for higher learning, I also like to be silly sometimes and just have fun.

Requests:
I am especially interested in becoming penpals with people around my age from Ireland the UK, Israel and Europe. However, I welcome hearing from people from any nation, including my own. I'd love to exchange thoughts and ideas concerning literature, life, philosophy, culture, etc. Also, please no marriage proposals and or one liners. I'm interested in exchanging thoughts and ideas, not in being used to get a Visa. If you don't have a picture up, please don't write me as I like to see who I am speaking to.

well, there are some new flicks in the cinemas right now -shutter, diary of the dead, funny games us..not that good, but pretty watchable. hehe, i love cornfields - amazing place, esp if u want to play hide and seek haha:) but, on the other hand u may get lost there..so, do u read something about russia right now?
is because of that movie - children of the corn haha:)? amazing one..and i love corn fields..there was one not far from my parents village, me and friends loved to be there, just walking. right now this field is a built-up area..nothing interesting at all. so, have you seen any good horror films recently?
Hi.:-) I welcome any words you teach me in Persian. How was your weekend? Take care!
Thank you for visit my profile. Only today I saw your commentary. Greetings from Ukraine.
Oh one other thing...I will accept Dallaway on your recommendation. I'll get it out right away. My favourite character in literature I think is Falstaff...rough and tumble... the antithesis of a puritan but wonderfuly rounded and good humoured...full of charity and love! I really believe that Falstaff is a 'cameo' of shakespeare verbatim . Brendan
Dear Posey...of course I should have put th Wanderer first. I take it you read it in Old English rather than a translation. Wonderful ways of forging words...'the sea is 'locked waves' etc. It is so sad his kinsmen have died and he thinks upon the days where they drank together in the halls and prayed together but now he is adrift paddling with his bare hands the icy waters all alone. I can relate to this being so far from home. I missed St Patricks day where all my family and cousins fill the Irish club and watch the nieces and nephews do the jig encouraging the elderly to join in.
I have a 'evangelical protestant' friend here in London, but she was from Minnesota....a very gentle spirit but a very persistent apologist....she is doing a doctorate on mongolian history...Genghis Khan etc. She knows about 12 different languages...including Persian...she has a phenomenal intellect but she is very modest...I wish you could meet her and sit around the table with our little group....where we pray and sing a little and watch a heart warming Christian movie (eg...your ' TheJourney of August' ....a must see!) ... I do the cooking and like to cook many courses...Arab/ Greek, Italian. This Saturday morning as usual I walk the Portobello food market and pick up the best produce for dinner tonight.
I think it is so marvellous you being a convert. Also your work for a charity. It humbles me to know that the very best examples for me are converts and converts-in-waiting... St Paul being one, Cardinal Newman another....etc.
I would feel privileged if you stay in touch because it is rare to find a penpal like yourself....Brendan_Greally@hotmail.com
May God Bless you
