1 Chi abita al riparo dell'Altissimo
riposa all'ombra dell'Onnipotente.
2 Io dico al SIGNORE: «Tu sei il mio rifugio e la mia fortezza,
il mio Dio, in cui confido!»
3 Certo egli ti libererà dal laccio del cacciatore
e dalla peste micidiale.
4 Egli ti coprirà con le sue penne
e sotto le sue ali troverai rifugio.
La sua fedeltà ti sarà scudo e corazza.
5 Tu non temerai gli spaventi della notte,
né la freccia che vola di giorno,
6 né la peste che vaga nelle tenebre,
né lo sterminio che imperversa in pieno mezzogiorno.
7 Mille ne cadranno al tuo fianco
e diecimila alla tua destra;
ma tu non ne sarai colpito.
8 Basta che tu guardi,
e con i tuoi occhi vedrai il castigo degli empi.
9 Poiché tu hai detto: «O SIGNORE,
tu sei il mio rifugio»,
e hai fatto dell'Altissimo il tuo riparo,
10 nessun male potrà colpirti,
né piaga alcuna s'accosterà alla tua tenda.
11 Poiché egli comanderà ai suoi angeli
di proteggerti in tutte le tue vie.
12 Essi ti porteranno sulla palma della mano,
perché il tuo piede non inciampi in nessuna pietra.
13 Tu camminerai sul leone e sulla vipera,
schiaccerai il leoncello e il serpente.
14 Poich'egli ha posto in me il suo affetto, io lo salverò;
lo proteggerò, perché conosce il mio nome.
15 Egli m'invocherà, e io gli risponderò;
sarò con lui nei momenti difficili;
lo libererò, e lo glorificherò.
16 Lo sazierò di lunga vita
e gli farò vedere la mia salvezza.

91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

1 Gesù, vedendo le folle, salì sul monte e si mise a sedere. I suoi discepoli si accostarono a lui, 2 ed egli, aperta la bocca, insegnava loro dicendo:
3 «Beati i poveri in spirito, perché di loro è il regno dei cieli.
4 Beati quelli che sono afflitti, perché saranno consolati.
5 Beati i mansueti, perché erediteranno la terra.
6 Beati quelli che sono affamati e assetati di giustizia, perché saranno saziati.
7 Beati i misericordiosi, perché a loro misericordia sarà fatta.
8 Beati i puri di cuore, perché vedranno Dio.
9 Beati quelli che si adoperano per la pace, perché saranno chiamati figli di Dio.

Lo stolto ha detto in cuor suo: «Non c'è Dio».
Sono corrotti, commettono iniquità,
non c'è nessuno che faccia il bene.
2 Dio guarda dal cielo i figli degli uomini
per vedere se c'è una persona intelligente
che cerchi Dio.
3 Tutti si sono sviati, tutti sono corrotti,
non c'è nessuno che faccia il bene,
neppure uno.
4 Sono dunque senza conoscenza questi malvagi,
che divorano il mio popolo come se fosse pane,
e non invocano Dio?
5 Ma ecco, sono presi da grande spavento
là dove non c'erano motivi di paura;

Revelation 22

22 The angel also showed me the river of the water of life, sparkling like crystal, and coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 and flowing down the middle of the city's street. On each side of the river was the tree of life, which bears fruit twelve times a year, once each month; and its leaves are for the healing of the nations. 3 Nothing that is under God's curse will be found in the city.

The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will worship him. 4 [a]They will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no more night, and they will not need lamps or sunlight, because the Lord God will be their light, and they will rule as kings forever and ever.

The Coming of Jesus

6 Then the angel said to me, “These words are true and can be trusted. And the Lord God, who gives his Spirit to the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must happen very soon.”

7 “Listen!” says Jesus. “I am coming soon! Happy are those who obey the prophetic words in this book!”

8 I, John, have heard and seen all these things. And when I finished hearing and seeing them, I fell down at the feet of the angel who had shown me these things, and I was about to worship him. 9 But he said to me, “Don't do it! I am a servant together with you and with your brothers the prophets and of all those who obey the words in this book. Worship God!” 10 And he said to me, “Do not keep the prophetic words of this book a secret, because the time is near when all this will happen. 11 Whoever is evil must go on doing evil, and whoever is filthy must go on being filthy; whoever is good must go on doing good, and whoever is holy must go on being holy.”

12 “Listen!” says Jesus. “I am coming soon! I will bring my rewards with me, to give to each one according to what he has done. 13 I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
