I seem to be in many similar situations like you, I read too many books, studied much
civilization, often doubt of real friendship and real relations. Unfortunately, I speak many languages, but no Greek. I am a grammar school teacher in Germany and I love
writing. I am quite alone apart from may work and I am still lookig for a real friend.

Dear Henkl, I want to tell you that I am impressed hearing that you read the Greek History. There are Greeks who never heard of the Peloponnesian War. I am really surprised.
Regarding the situation that exists in Greece, now, there are difficulties as the people pay many taxes. For the current crisis is the fault of corrupt Greek politicians, who were serving foreign interests.
Yes, I too would like to have contact with you. Do you liste Greek music? How so?

I did read Peloponesian War by Thucydides once. Once I also read books by Lawrence Durrell. I liked once music of Viky Moscholiou.
I only have been to Athens a few days, passing by only.
For the rest I do not know so much about Greece, such general things.
Also the Euro crisis of course.
Would be nice to have a friend from Greece though.
