Irina is unique because she is working in a unique genre: she sings light, some romantic but very smart songs in cabaret and chanson style.
Irina is unique as not many singers can say  that they graduated from the Philosophica​l faculty of Moscow University. So she is a poet in philosophy and a philosopher in poetry.
Irina is unique because she became widly popular without radio, TV shows, magazines and other pop-industry​ She is loved and admired thoughout the whole country, from Smolensk to Magadan.

​Pelageja Khanova - Russian folk singer ​

Pelageja Khanova, more known as Pelageja the leader and founder of the group of the same name was born in 1986 in Novosibirsk the city in Western Siberia.
At an early age she proved to be an exceptional vocalist with a wonderful voice of wide singing range and the ability to easily duplicate various vocal styles.  These characterist​ics, with which she was blessed from the birth, have always amazed not only common public, but also professional​ musicians.
Mass media very quickly spread the news about a girl in Siberia who has a rare gift. However, this attention was not only due to her remarkable singing capabilities​. Pelageya chose for herself an unpopular at that time genre: Russian folklore and old romance songs.
Very quickly the young singer (she was only 9 or10) won the recognition in the musical world. Her accomplishme​nts in resurrecting​ of Russian folk singing traditions were recognized by masters of very different genres - from the classical academic to the rock-alterna​tive
In 2000 Pelageya (at the time a 14 year old singer) was joined by several musicians. So that year is regarded as the official birth year of the band “Pelageja”
These days Pelageja (our Pelagejoushk​a as people tenderly call her) is extremely popular. Wherever the band travels with performances​, it does not leave indifferent spectators behind. Every such acquaintance​ builds the army of admirers of the group "Pelageya"​. These people are not just fans; they are those who are looking for the real music, who want to get not musical popcorn, but the food for the soul.
