About Me:
I'm English, but have spent time in the past living in Japan, Italy and France. I'm fairly quiet and introspective, happy in my own company but I still like to connect with people around the world and discover new ideas. In my free time I do a lot of reading (at least a few books a week). I spend quite a lot of time online. I like travelling, and visiting museums and galleries. I`m pretty bad at sports but I periodically try to keep in shape through running and yoga. Things I`m interested in include ancient civilisations, religions and mythology, cartoons and anime, feminism and surrealism.

Rock, indie, world. Sample bands include Bebel Gilberto, Alabama 3 and Liz Phair. I don`t really have a favourite band these days, but I try listening to new music on the radio and on criticalmetrics.com

Vamp, Vampiros en la Habana, Versus, Death Note 1 and 2, DEBS, But I`m a cheerleader, The Princess Bride, Willow, A Night at the Roxbury
Favorite TV Shows:
Lost, Dark Angel, Xena, Heroes, Dead Like Me, Third Rock from the Sun, Just Shoot Me, Ugly Betty, Inuyasha, Bleach, Rurouni Kenshin, Prison Break, House, CSI
Favorite Books:
Fantasy and SF, horror, classics, mysteries, some contemporary fiction. Robin Hobb`s Farseer series, The collected works of Saki, Agatha Christie stuff, American Gods by Neil Gaiman

I think it is wonderful that you have spent time living abroad. I could never be that brave! I did, however, have a chance to visit London several years ago. It was even better than I knew it would be. I can't wait to go back.

こんにちは。ウォールにメッセージありがとうございました。私もアリスンさんのプロファイルを読んで、興味を持ちました。アリスンさんの日本語はとてもお上手なので、日本語でやり取りしても、私はかまいませんが、もしアリスンさんが、私の時々おかしくなる英語に我慢してくださるなら、英語でも書きますね。

Hi! :) I know! I also spend a lot of time explaining to people that I don't drink alcohol and, yes, it would be so nice if they just said "ok" and not "why not?". By the way, I really like American Gods! (And almost everything else I've ever read by Neil Gaiman.)
