Sorry! I had completely forgotten I had this post unanswered. Yes, I think you're right: some things are easier to tell to a foreigner than to someone in the family. Actually, I think that your family and friends usually don't allow you to be as you'd like to be. Don't you feel something like that?

The weather here is crazy too! We have had one sunny day and then the next it's rainy..
Most Russian I have met have been really interesting people, I once did a tour of my city with a large group of Russians, they were nice but very...intense ^^

I like some of their films and Anime works but, yes I think some times its hard to understand because its a totally diferent culture. Its interesting:)

Yes, we always need to talk with somebody. We feel so lonely, don't we? Even if we're surrounded by people, we always feel alone. Sometimes, even more than if we were actually in company, because of the contrast.
To me, internet has never been a good place for chatting with people. Of course it's an alternative that shouldn't be discarded, but this long distance chats usually leave me unsatisfied.
