Well, to give you the short answer: continental philosophy is concerned with a wider, and more radical, idea of philosophy than analytic philosophy [which is what's mostly studied in the U.S and U.K]. I guess you could say continental phil' is more concerned with 'meaning of life?' style questions [so we look at people like Sartre, Nietzsche, Marx]. Does that help at all? Anyway, so you're an artist. Is there any particular sort of stuff you're interested in?

My masters is in continental philosophy. Thankfully i should have my dissertation​ done in a couple of weeks time, but i've still got about 6,000 words to write, so the rest of august won't be fun! Anyway you've got plenty of time to decide on college and stuff, any ideas where you'd apply if you did decide to go?

Well...I'm finishing my masters at the moment. I've just started writing the dissertation​ for it, but i still have about 14,000 words to do between now and the end of August. Could be a pretty stressful couple of weeks! After that i guess i'll have to get a job, though i have no idea what i'll do.

Yeah, it could be sort of scary, but it's good to be able to get away sometimes. Anyways, you at college or work or something at the moment?
