If the purpose of your salvation was simply to get you into heaven, then the moment you were saved God would have taken you to heaven. But the fact is, once you were born again God left you down here on earth for a reason. He left you here so that you could DO something for Him. You have been saved so that you can serve. Luke 1:68, 74: "Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people…to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear…” God has redeemed his people – that means he has saved us – to do two things: rescue us from our enemies and enable us to serve Him. So where are you serving Jesus today?

Here are several tips on how to think positively:
**Associate with people who bring something of value into your life. Avoid people who sap your energy and enthusiasm. If you can't avoid them, learn how stay detached when your are in their company.
**Say positive things about yourself and about other people.
**Compliment people when you feel they deserve it.
**Have faith in yourself and in your abilities.
**Try doing new things or old things in a new way. Doing things differently will help you be more creative and therefore more positive. Go to a different restaurant, eat different food, change the way you dress, start reading a new book or find a new hobby.
**Read about people who overcame hardships and succeeded in life. This will help you think more positively.

It is only through patience and endurance in faith that you receive the promises of God.

When a person works a full day and receives a fair day's pay for his time, that is a wage. When a person competes with an opponent and receives a trophy for his performance, that is a prize. When a person receives appropriate recognition for his long service or high achievements, that is an award. But when a person is not capable of earning a wage, can win no prize, and deserves no award - yet receives such a gift anyway - that is GRACE, God's unmerited favor. Ephesians 2:8 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." Thank God for his amazing grace for us! We do not deserve salvation and we could never earn it. Yet we receive it by faith in Jesus because of GRACE.
