Ah, don't worry, it's not silly :) Well, there's not really any difference, just that Americans tend to use "bro" and "dude", and people from the UK or Australia use "mate".

Ah. Bandit it is then :) I will come back as soon as my finances have recovered from the last trip.... :>

It was an attempt to avoid saying "Happy New Year", because I've said that 100 times since Wednesday :D Anyhow, the superhero theme suits you, don't you think?

I hope so too! I've already had Padang-style food, I think :) But not real Padang food...

Happy New Year, dude!! Hope you have a kickass 2014 ;>
And yup, I liked Indonesia a lot. Yeah, the girls are kind, I think ;) I'll come to Padang next time ~ everyone says it's nice.

Ah, well, you'll have to choose carefully, I suppose...

And I'm not traveling the whole world, just on mall in Jakarta (well, that's what it felt like today.. My hotel is located at one end of the mall, but getting this information out of the information desk/ security guards/ parking attendants etc. was a much harder process than I expected....

Hahahahaha, you really made me laugh about Justin Bieber :> But maybe it's true, although the boy seems to be entering a difficult phase right now ;)

Ah yes, Indonesian is really simple and logical! My problem is that I can't remember the actual words. Belas/boleh/belum etc. Damn. I need to go to a parrot and ask him to teach me his tricks.

Good luck with smelling girls ;> I guess it should be a good experience generally, if you like perfume :>

Yeah, so I hear :> I saw some Balinese script the other day.. Had no idea there was a separate language there :) am in Jakarta, but leave today for Singapore :)

Hahahahahaha, I didn't know Justin bieber could knit. But then I didn't know he could rap until recently... There's no end to that boy's talents!

Btw.. "Winking at a girl" would be correct. You wink at, look at, wave at, but listen to and speak to. And if you're smelling the girl then there's no 'at' or 'to'. Ahh, English is wonderful... It's like it was designed specially to be as confusing as possible :>

Awww, I see. I feel a little sorry for him, dying because he's too popular ;3 Maybe try Justin Bieber instead? hehheh

Thanks for the advice. It's interesting how learning a language is about these rules of politeness, more than just vocabulary and grammar. I'll probably make loads of mistakes in Indonesia, but I'm going to try and get it right ;>

Ah, OK! I will help you, of course :>
"the same age with your conversation partner" -----> the same age as
But your English is really good, so don't worry.

Ah yes, that's good to know, because my phraseboook has a lot of Bapaks and Ibus :> "Minta tolong, Pak" etc. etc.

Awww. Who is Lorenzo Lamas? Is it bad that I haven't heard of your first murder victim..?
inactive user
Awww, I hope you found something to do, bro... did you invade a planet, or knit a sweater, or something ;)

Ah, so is it better to use formal language? My Malay friend tells me that Indonesian is just like Malay, but much less formal ;>
