Hello. One sentence in your profile has caught my attention: "But if you can make your own decisions, make judgements be open to different opinions, I will be happy to speak with you." You know, I think most of the people don't judge themselves as typical, narrow-minded, most of them think they make their own decisions. They can judge themselves as fat or thin, bad in math or good, but never in being banal. So, you will never know it, till you have a conversation with person.

Фраза взята из методички по философии, которая поразила меня своим идиотизмом (боюсь обидеть философов, но с историческими данными там была беда).
С философией меня связало то, что это был обязательный предмет со 2 курса бакалавриата и до нынешнего года. Недавно я сдала последний (надеюсь) экзамен по философии и надеюсь с ней больше не связываться.
А почему "к сожалению", если вы ей интересуетесь?

well that would probably then be considered "western" fashion because i don't think that certain parts of east have developed that sense of "uniqueness" as the west has.
a form of manufactured dissent tailored by what is on offer and what can be bought.

well it's not only needed to take into concern the environment but also the occurrence of in- and out-groups that a huge number of people can't help from falling into.

i think that most people don't believe they are a part of a "big herd" but think that they are all independent thinkers in the same way as "thinkers" often seem to gravitate perhaps unintentionally towards herds.
