Hi! Yeah, everything is OK. It was about 5 miles from my house. We were rocking around a bit. Nothing bad though. It hit the vineyards pretty hard. Did you guys hear about it?

Mayan ruins aren't that far from each other, it all depends how far are you willing to travel. You can go to Tulum, Chichen-Itza, Uxmal, Ek-Balam, maybe even Calakmul. They usually have 1 day tours to each destination starting in Cancun, Tulum, and Playa del Carmen.

hahaha, well not all of them have an entrance so even if you could climb all the way there's no way of going in. They had to close them for people to climb because we receive so many visitors that the pyramids were deteriorating at a faster rate. Some archaeological sites are not as protected as most of the Mayan ruins and you can still climb the pyramids but some others you can only see them keeping a distance. I was lucky enough to have entered the pyramid in Palenque and had climb the one in Chichen-itza

Not in the Mayan ruins anymore. You can climb the pyramids in Teotihuacan for example but the Chichen-Itza pyramids cannot. :)
