To be honest I've never read anything by Dickens. And, in view of your comment, maybe I shouldn't ;)

Are you studying Asian literature or languages or something like that? Seems interesting. I'm studying biology, mainly microbiology & genetics. I like it very much! I hope to finish it in 4 years.
