Thank you for your comments. Sorry I haven't gotten back sooner but my computer has been down.
Yes, I'm very familiar with God's name in our forward and it's rightful place in god's word. You might find the following comments of interest since we all pronounce the different names in the Bible, including that of Jesus. Please reply back. Gary
How Is God’s Name Pronounced?
The truth is, nobody knows for sure how the name of God was originally pronounced. Why not? Well, the first language used in writing the Bible was Hebrew, and when the Hebrew language was written down, the writers wrote only consonants—not vowels. Hence, when the inspired writers wrote God’s name, they naturally did the same thing and wrote only the consonants.
While ancient Hebrew was an everyday spoken language, this presented no problem. The pronunciation of the Name was familiar to the Israelites and when they saw it in writing they supplied the vowels without thinking (just as, for an English reader, the abbreviation “Ltd.” represents “Limited” and “bldg.” represents “building”).
Two things happened to change this situation. First, a superstitious idea arose among the Jews that it was wrong to say the divine name out loud; so when they came to it in their Bible reading they uttered the Hebrew word ’Adho·nai′ (“Sovereign Lord”). Further, as time went by, the ancient Hebrew language itself ceased to be spoken in everyday conversation, and in this way the original Hebrew pronunciation of God’s name was eventually forgotten.
In order to ensure that the pronunciation of the Hebrew language as a whole would not be lost, Jewish scholars of the second half of the first millennium C.E. invented a system of points to represent the missing vowels, and they placed these around the consonants in the Hebrew Bible. Thus, both vowels and consonants were written down, and the pronunciation as it was at that time was preserved.

Thank you so much for your reply.
It should relieve you to know that we feel the same about Prophesy s in the Bible. The scripture in 2 Pet. 2:20, 21 is of prime importance to us. Also Genesis 40:8 says " Do not interpretations belong to God." We answer yes most certainly. We let the Bible interpret itself. As you know many prophecy's are now being fulfilled long after they were given. The one you quoted in Matthew 24:14 is being fulfilled. We are now preaching the Good news of God's kingdom in 314 languages in over 236 lands. We spend some 1.5 billion hours each year teaching and encouraging nice people like you to continue to read God's word daily. We have our literature in your native tongue of Cebuano. We teach people everywhere how to get answers and find answers on their own from the Bible.
Our understanding of Armageddon is well established in God's word.In Rev. 16:14, 16 it refers to Armageddon as "the war of the Great day of God the Almighty." In Isaiah 13:6, Jeremiah 25:33,Zephaniah 1:15 , 2 Pet 3:12. We feel it's very important to let people hear about the Good news of God's Kingdom since that is What Jehovah will use to get rid of all opposer's to his Kingdom. We refer to Daniel 2:44 to show that. So very much so we feel an urgent need to reach as many as possible with this good news.
We have a website www.watchtower.org that anyone can visit. You are most welcome to do that anytime Rholu.
Heres a question for you. God's Name Jehovah was originally put in the Bible over 7,000 times. Why do most Bibles today not have his Name in them, when the Bible itself says not to add or take away any thing.? What do you think.? Write back. your friend Gary

The scripture I quoted in Matthew 5:3 is good, but I meant Matthew 5:5, thank you Gary.
Thank you for your nice message Rholu, it sounds like your life can be rather exciting with the weather at times. Your being able to speak the different languages is very commendable. The more people you can talk to the bigger your world becomes. I am looking forward to the time that Isaiah 11:9 says that" the whol earth will be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea." I can just imagine at that time no more people who don't want to know God on the earth. The earth will finally be at peace as Isaiah 14: 5-7 says. This is what the near future is going to be for obedient people. This also is how Matthew 5:3 will be fulfilled, that the mild tempered one s will inherit the earth, as this verse that Jesus was quoting is found at Psalms 37:9-11. So we sure have a lot to look forward to Rholu. Please write back and tell me more of your beliefs. The verses you shared with me are very important to me also. I also believe like 1 Peter 3:15 and James 1:27 that ones religion and ones conduct should Glorify God. Also reading Revelation should make us happy not fearful. In the book of Revelation it speaks only one time about Armageddon. What do you think Armageddon is.? please write back Gary
