divorced, semi retired, no current ties. Professional​ background but able to relate at all levels. Somewhat overweight, balding but with many redeeming features ( ok - just a few !!). Considerate,​ compassionat​e, friendly, quiet, thoughtful and affectionate​. Very sentimental.​  Can't think of any more platitudes at present - perhaps given more time !! A bit impatient sometimes, but I guess reasonably tolerant and easy going

seeking a younger woman with whom to share internet friendship hopefully developing into a deeper personal relationship​. I would be prepared to financially assist with relocating potential partner to Australia. Have a preference for younger Asian ladies, say 29-49,  but would be very pleased to exchange emails with any nationality,​ then see what happens. Ideally, a lady who is not too outgoing - perhaps shy, introverted,​ quiet, maybe even lacking self confidence. I feel much more at ease with reserved people than with extroverts. Not a raging partygoer. No dependant children. Preferably a practicing Catholic, but not essential. But a willingness to give and receive love is essential, because I find it a very important value in my life. When I was married, I gave endless love to my spouse, but, unfortunatel​y for both of us, she valued material possessions far more than my love. So I've learned a lesson......​..... I hope.

travel - mostly within my country, eating out with friends, some sports, walking along a deserted beach, watching and listening to wind, rain, thunder. Watching Australian Rules football, English soccer and cricket. Enjoy a meaningful discussion on most subjects. Also very happy sitting at home cuddling up to my beloved.

50's & 60's rock and roll and other music of that era, some easy listening current stuff. Favourite songs are quite meaningful and romantic - Rivers of Babylon, The Rose and Don't Cry for me Argentina - I see a bit of my life in them !!

old classics especially ones with ingrid bergman, katherine hepburn, bette davis,(my favourite), susan hayward - stars from that era. Of the modern actors, very much like renee zellweger (of bridget jones fame) and comedy stuff - woody allen's quirky humour appeals to me, together with  many english comedies.

Compass, The Chasers War on Everything, 4 Corners - mostly Australian stuff with a bit of English thrown in. I like current affairs stuff - I'm a bit of a critic, and often voice my thoughts in newspapers .
None of that reality stuff on TV - does nothing for me, other than relieve my constipation​ when I'm that way inclined.

george orwell, graham greene - read very little nowadays but used to be an avid reader up to a few years ago. now limiting myself to the daily newspaper, although I'm currently re-reading The Power and the Glory, by Greene.
