Haha yeah I don't get those anymore either, which maybe is better anyway. I prefer more original conversation starters.
Where did you live in France btw? I'm originally from the middle part of the country, near Orléans.

Hey, I used to be quite active here too a few years ago and thinking about giving it another try as well :) Où est-ce que tu as appris le français alors ?

Haha fair enough :P I don't mind. BTW I love how some of you say Schadenfreude..or Doppelgänger etc.. It sounds awesome haha.

I study IBM here in Germany and I have to study abroad for two semester and work abroad for one semester to get my degree. And for some reason I'd love to go to the States.
I've been there in March for the first time ever and I loved it. Just been there for two weeks though.

Haha yeah I remembered your nick was vcarter... and that you lived somewhere in California.

Wow! That's cool! On your own or with family?
Seriously? I usually get the opposite! lol
I mean I would totally be friendly and try to help people out..
Haha yeah we say Check In :P We speak a lot of our so-called Denglish. I think it's pretty funny and weird when we conjugate verbs that are actually English..like download. Ich habe gestern das Spiel gedownloadet.

Don't be jealous. There are sadly not many jobs here. :( The teaching system here is horrible too. My parents work as teachers and they are telling people not to become teachers. Also, the winters here are long and rather harsh.

I live an hour away from Buffalo, but the real estate is still cheap. You can get a really good sized house for a reasonable price. A house that costs $1 million, you could get for 200,000 where I live. ^^
