Because the 2nd and 3rd films were terrible. They were style of substance. The imminent danger and mystery of the first film was completely removed because Neo could fight his way out of any problem and they tried to have an explanation for everything inside the matrix. They should have been like the Animatrix, focused on people and events around Neo instead of directly on him
