Yes, they are in Israel. We have Ethiopian kids in our school too.
I don´t know much about their tradition, sadly [except from the Jewish holidays...]

Well, we are going to have the new Hebrew more a week and after that we'll have Yom Kippur - which is a day that everyone are supposed to fast and think about the bad things they have done during the year.
In this day God is judging us and many people go to the synagogue in this day.
We also can't drive in this day, we have to torture ourselves.

[I'm not religious and I don't fast at Yom Kippur, but that's the tradition].
Well, if you can ask me more specific question - it will be much better and easier for me to answer.
