The six categories of Chinese characters ...
*self-explanatory characters:Hieroglyph like drawings, according to the appearance of things, be simplified to change. 「夫」 is like a standing person. He evolved from a human figure.
*pictographs:Will be difficult to explain things into a word. Such as 「上」word. Because the word 「上」in order to explain the concept of "up” meaning. With refer to things, things become more simple
*pictophonetic characters:To spell the word together, and become another word. Such as「休」 is a man 「人」lying beside the tree「木」, meaning that in the rest !
*associative compounds:Shaped the sound of words together into another word. For example: the river「河」. The left is water「水」, river water, the right is「可」, because it sounds like "The River"
*mutually explanatory characters:When a word may become due to the application of different people, two tone or meaning. Like "cautious"「謹慎」, their meaning is the same each other Transcription「謹」&「慎」, hence the term "transfer note"
*phonetic loan characters :Already the sound of the word, with no word things. Like 「云」 was originally a cloud「雲」, but it is under the guise of a 「云」 in the "saying of Confucius". In order to distinguish the "cloud" 「云」added "rain"「雨」
If you can understand exactly what the origin of the Chinese structure (the six categories of Chinese characters), then you've got the admission tickets.to learn the Chinese culture.

Hi! I'm Terry.
I know you are learning Chinese. However beginners must have some basic concepts. In ancient China, Chinese characters were made according to the six categories of Chinese characters (self-explanatory characters, pictographs, pictophonetic characters, associative compounds, mutually explanatory characters, phonetic loan characters).
The six categories of Chinese characters analysis will help us to deconstruct the Chinese characters, on the recognition of the understanding of the reading and meaning of the text will also help, and therefore the introduction of the six categories of Chinese characters in the beginner stage, so learn to recognize the text as soon as possible to understand the structure of the word, to reduce the read and write wrong Chinese words, writing and reading also benefit.
You can use google translation function to listen to the pronunciation of Chinese words and expressions, but not more than 100 words.

Hi! I'm Terry.
I hope the foregoing Chinese did'nt cause you stress.
If you are interested in Chinese culture then I propose from the Chinese situation dialogue begin!
Good luck for your Chinese learning all the way smoothly!
Sincerely, Terry
