30 year old man from Poland, country of tragic history and various - sometimes weird - customs.
Our national dish is called bigos and it's actually very tasty - especially with potatoes.
Okay, back to my description: Despite not being a specialist when it comes to art, I love surrealism, especially Rene Magritte.
I spend a lot of time in front of a computer due to my proffession and hobbies. When I'm not doing that, I'm either watching some movie or reading some book.
Sometimes I also like to party.
Requests
I'm currious about foreign nations - I probably have that after my parents, but unlike them, I'm not really interested in monuments, architecture and historical objects. In my case it's always about the people - which is the reason I made an account arround here. Your habbits, daily routine, value system, things I might find shocking as a guy coming from different culture than yours - all of those are something I would gladly hear about.
The questions I will ask you will be directly to the point - I am not going to ask you, what's the current weather in wherever you are, as it's not what interests me. They might appear too direct or even rude, but I am driven only by curriosity.
We can also talk about our hobbies if we have any common ones.
I am not looking for flirt around here and if I ask you any question it is only due to my curriosity about other countries.
Hobbies & Interests
Video games are and probably always were my biggest hobby. I like making them, playing them, talking about them. Discussing it's history, current economic issues on the video game market is also pretty interesting.
My favourite titles are: Planescape: Torment, System Shock 2, Vampire: The Masquarade - Bloodlines and Left 4 Dead 2.
IT in general. Well, maybe not in that general - if you want to make me sleep, you can start talking to me about networks and connection protocols. On the other hand, AI-related algoritms, algoritms in general and programming microcontrollers is definately something that could keep me awake. In the past I used to model stuff in Blender. In the future, I aim to release my own game, which is almost completed and then to experiment a little bit with artificial intelligence algorithms - I seek to ressurect my dead concept about using minmax trees in real time - possibly with some sequences of actions, that might simulate long term memory. If you wish to further discuss the concept, please, feel free to message me - even if your opinion about this concept is negative.
Foreign cultures, as you probably figured out already are my another hobby.
I like guns as well. Rarely have an opportunity to play with them, though. Such is life in Poland.
Favorite Music
Pre-2000 rock in general with a little bit of metal, few pop songs. Loads of soundtracks, classical music as well.
In general I listen to everything I can bind with certain visualisation - a memory or a movie; it's very rare for me to like some music after first listening.
Favorite Movies
Blade Runner, Alien, Aliens, The Thing, Full Metal Jacket, The Ring, Back to the Future, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Man on Fire
Favorite TV Shows
Breaking Bad, Black Mirror.
Favorite Books
Song of Ice and Fire, The Stand, Metro 2033, Solaris, fantasy books in general.
