I remember when I was younger and I could not wait until we would start swedish in our school. But when it actually started, it was too hard for me. After 3 years of studying it in school I still cant say anything in swedish, only jag heter nanne, jag har en katt, or something like that. I was so disappointed in myself. Sweden is our second language in Finland, so every time when people ask what languages I can speak, I'll just write down finnish and english. My dad was really mad because of it, because I was studying sweden over 3 years and all I could tell was my name, and just because I watched so many cartoons I knew much more words in japanese that sweden. Learning new languages is really hard for me, that's why I'm now leaving learning swedish behind me and I'm concentrating to my english. After all, being able to speak english is much more important.
If I wouldnt be finnish, I would not ever even think about trying to learn it X,,D But it makes me glad that someone thinks finnish sounds beautiful, and that someone actually wants to study it. :,> It sometimes makes me feel a bit down when people online always know russia and sweden, but never mention finland, and when they do, its something negative.

sounds great! i've been learning swedish myself. it's weird how other germanic languages have certain similarities with the english language.

i've been okay. i got accepted in my college of choice, so i'm hoping to start studying recording engineering either this summer or fall. solar void is doing pretty good, we're just playing shows and we plan on recording our next album sometime soon.

Yep, it seems that wikipedia have pretty good sites for that when you search "Finnish verb conjugation" etc. ^^

That's true, I wish you luck with learning Finnish. When I was learning French it was so complicated and hard to learn.

Hmm, maybe you should first learn word order of main clause and try to learn some words, then try to make simple sentences or something. I don't know really how you should start to learn Finnish. Finnish conjugation is pretty hard also.
Also spoken Finnish is a bit different than our standard language (like minun = mun)
