About Me
My passport may tell you where I've been, but the friendships I've made tell the real story of my travels.

Hello, and thank you for stopping by my profile.

Long before social media existed, I was discovering the world through handwritten letters. My penpal journey began in 1986, and what started as a simple hobby eventually became one of the greatest passions of my life. Through letters, I've learned about different cultures, shared countless stories, and built friendships that have lasted for many years.

As time passed, those letters inspired something even bigger: traveling. I wanted to experience the places I had only read about and see the world through my own eyes. Since then, I've traveled solo to more than 25 countries and explored over 60 cities, collecting stories, memories, and unforgettable experiences along the way. The most incredible adventure of my life was completing an Around the World in 80 Days journey—a dream that became a reality and gave me memories I'll treasure forever.

One of the most rewarding parts of traveling has been meeting people I've known through letters. I've been fortunate enough to meet a few of my pen pals during my journeys, and those moments became unforgettable highlights of my travels. Other friends preferred to keep our friendship through letters only, and I completely respected that. Every friendship is different, and whether it stays online or one day crosses paths in the real world, what matters most to me is the friendship itself.

Today, I'm turning those memories into travel documentaries on my YouTube channel, "Travel Far With Bashar". Every video tells the story of a place I've personally visited, and I hope they encourage others to discover the beauty of our world. If one of my travel stories makes you curious, you're always welcome to have a look.
