About Me
Hello World!

I'm Daniela - or Dani. Pick what you like best.

After living in Hamburg all my life as far back as I can remember, I did a crazy thing: I moved to the UK in 2018, ignoring Brexit. I first stayed in Somerset with friends, then moved to Bristol, and when the company I was working for by then didn't want me anymore (their loss, silly things) and nobody else wanted to give me a new job (all HR managers were Brexit-damaged, I guess), I moved back to Germany, Berlin this time. After nearly three years in our crazy capital I thought, that's enough, and I came back to Hamburg. Now I'm thinking about moving again, to a smaller town... one grows older and wants a calmer life with less people around, I guess. Or only better people. More quality. Whatever. (Still love the UK, by the way, can't help myself)

My skills and talents and interests keep me well occupied. My skills include being a legal secretary and I'm rather enjoying it. Talents include creating paintings and painting furniture and stage designs, and photography, and creating objects/props/all types of things. Interests include penpalling, travelling, history (mostly Roman, and yes I do think about the Roman Empire nearly every day although I'm a woman), geography, fleamarkets, general knowledge quizzes, bit of music, bit of baking, lots of Youtube watching or binging TV series.... I love wearing green-coloured clothes and glasses, collecting books on first names, paying attention to weird details, creating stuff from scratch and cracking silly jokes.

My passion, my not-to-be-imagined-without pastime, my air, my heart, my everything: amateur theatre. Acting, directing, props making, stage design, poster design etc etc  I couldn't live without being a member in at least one theatre club. I have been doing this since I was 14 years old and I will continue till I fall off the stage due to heart-failure. Right now I hold membership to two clubs, one German, one English, but who knows what I will do next should I move again, maybe three clubs??? Will let you know.

If YOU find all of this fascinating enough to say: Hm, I might want to get to know this extraordinary creature, then send me a message. But a proper one with some content that tickles my curiosity, as I coldly and arrogantly ignore all boring one-liners, hellos, hi how are yous and so on.  Show me that you know the difference between chats/ texts and proper messages and maybe I'm intrigued enough to write back. But as I said, oneliners etc will be deleted, that's the way it is. This is a penpalling page, not a chatroom. Ta!
Requests
I only request some common decency, but apparently I have to spell things out because not everone seems to know what common decency is these days:

1. Please call me by my name, and nothing else. I am not your "dear", your "friend", your "lady", your "madam", your "beautiful", your "Caria" (???) or whatever. Just.My.Name. Be respectful because I won't call you silly things either, right? Thank you.

2. I am NOT interested in getting messages from young men in Northern Africa, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria or other countries from that category - you know who you are. Women from these countries are very welcome to write, that's the only reason why I didn't block these countries. NO MEN from Northern Africa, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria, etc. Thank you.

3. No random questions without introducing yourself first. Thank you.

4. No friendships without a few messages up front. Thank you.

5. I will not marry a stranger who orders me to marry him. That is ridiculous. Thank you.

6. No telephone numbers, no Skype or Whatsapp etc; regular messages here and/or snail mail on paper only. Thank you.

Thank you for your attention!
