About Me

Hey guys,
My name is Dale and I'm a native English speaker who lives in Oregon, in the United States of America. I have been studying the Japanese language for many years, and I am always looking for people to practice the little bit I know. I'd love to meet new people from Japan, and to do language exchanges together. My grammatical knowledge is a bit strained, so I'll probably make a lot of mistakes. I hope that isn't off putting for you. At any rate, I can definitely help people who are also learning English, and I'd be happy to help in any way I can.

I like to study languages, play guitar, and I play ice hockey as well. I am also a practicing Buddhist, and enjoy reading about Buddhism, and sitting Zazen whenever time permits.

I love to travel, when I can. I have been all over the west coast in America, I have been to Canada, as well as Japan. I want to make many more trips to Japan, so I'd like to keep my Japanese pretty good.

Favorite Music

I like a lot of music, and will give almost anything a listen.
I play guitar, so I like a lot of guitarists.

I'm a big fan of Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult and a lot doom metal bands. Though, I like a lot of other genres of music as well.

Favorite Movies

Lots of Japanese films, particularly the work of Kurosawa Akira. I'm a sucker for samurai films.
