Hi! I'm Ville, a translator by trade and amateur artist by calling. Instead of doing the usual longer introduction, here are some fun facts about me:


• I have appeared in a popular band’s music video.

• I did six months of military training - largely due to social norms and because I wasn’t confident enough to choose otherwise at 19 years of age.

• I consider gender a social construct. It’s silly how big of an influence it has on society.

• I have lived in three different countries.

• While personality tests are far from perfect, I've tested as an INFP-A several times, and I find descriptions of it incredibly accurate to my personality.

• I have a scar on my chin that I have hidden with facial hair for over a decade.

• I have been on Interpals for… (checks the top of the page) ..too long.

• Several people in high school called me “stoic” and “contemplative” – words that I later came to realize just meant that I was a quiet kid.

• My weight used to be 30 kg more than it is now.

• My dream job used to be film director. Now I’m just happy to do creative projects of various kinds.

• I have met face-to-face with 5 people who I first got to know on Interpals.

• I don’t believe that “blood is thicker than water.” Sometimes the family you choose is what’s best for you.

• Never once have I broken a bone or had surgery. At most I’ve gotten stitches.

• While I’m not confident about it, I like singing – and especially learning weird vocal techniques.

• Occasionally I like to use Interpals for small experiments. The results of which have varied from sweet to terrifying.

• You know how your voice sounds different than you thought when you hear it recorded? I’ve listened/had to listen to my voice so much that I no longer have that.

• My top 3 things I like about myself: my creativity, my eyebrows, and my calves.



Now, let's play two truths and a lie. Your job is to tell me which of these three statements about me is not true:


1. My team has finished third place at a European e-sports tournament.

2. I once photographed a wedding where the bride arrived at the venue in a camouflage limo with the word “gangsta” written on the side in orange paint.

3. I've mistakenly answered a phone that didn’t belong to who I thought it did, and instead of explaining myself I pretended to be the owner of the phone.

There's one request I'd like to make: please don't just send me a message saying, "hi" or "hey how are you." Because, let's face it, those messages are just not that fun to reply to. Tell me something about yourself - give me a fun fact or a topic to talk about, and it'll be much nicer to start a conversation :)

I'm not always online and in fact have a very on-and-off relationship with this website/app. If I don't reply to a message, it's absolutely nothing personal.

I like doing all kinds of creative projects. Drawing, writing, digital painting, animation, live action videos... You name it and I've probably dabbled in it. I'm thinking of adding 3D pen art into that list as well.

In addition to that, I'm big on video games and ice hockey. I could spend an unhealthy amount of time with either of them.
