I am a deep thinker, love life and love to have fun, I am a Christian, and have worked  in Pastoral Care and advocacy for the past 20 years. I have loved my job, because I love caring for people, I have an understanding of what it is like to live with chronic pain. I have lived with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis from 17 years of age. I have just become an Author, My counsellor and I have written a book together about me the client and him the counsellor, our journey through Narrative Therapy. I was violently sexually abused by a catholic priest for a period of 28 months from 11 years of age, and in the past seven years, 42 years later, I told someone for the first time I had been abused as a child. So, the book is about reaching out to help other men who have lived with the secret of being abused as a child and as my story came out through the work of my very caring counsellor who worked with me through Narrative approaches. so the book is also about understanding shame and breaking through shames power to break the survivors silence, giving them the ability to talk about the truth and share their story, which for me has brought many freedoms. the book is called:' Reclaiming Lives from Sexual Violence: Understanding Shame through Innovative Narrative Therapy" if you google the name it should be easy to order if you are interested.
I am 60 years old I have been married for 37 years, I have 3 amazing grown up children. and 4 grandchildren
