Thanks! It’s feels awkward to use ‘they’ but really like the convenience.

Please help :). How do I avoid having to use he/she multiple times in a sentence when I do not want to commit to any gender. Can I use ‘they’.

Eg: The customer tends to overbuy food because he/she(they?) does not know if he/she (they?) already have it at home.

Seems ‘they’ is acceptable in this context nowadays. What is a your advice. Thanks Gary
