Hello everyone, my name is Matthew, from the north of England, now living in Hong Kong.

My dream and goal in life is to work as a nurse in Hong Kong. Just need to pass the Hong Kong exams.

I am a cinephile, I love many genres of films and will watch any film once. I especially enjoy South Korean films for their style, Japanese films for often being a little bit different from the generic films from Hollywood, and Hong Kong films for their Mouh lei tau comedies and Cantonese language.

I have not travelled many places but where I have been I have enjoyed and hope to travel to many more places in the future.

I am trying to teach myself Cantonese... any help would be welcome!! :)
My Cantonese is improving slowly but is very basic, I believe if I'm to live in Hong Kong I should speak Cantonese, as I believe in being respectful to the local people.

I also enjoy writing and am currently writing a novel, and make short animated films which has taken a backseat whilst I am back at university and doing my nurse training.
