In open argument and debate two sides on the political spectrum can learn from one another and share factual information. One might review this new information gained, and attempt to mold into a better informed and more complete human being, since we are all flawed thinkers to begin with. Ignoring and demonising people who think differently than you is therefore not wise, and can lead to more extreme thinking on both end of the spectrum, since you're in your own mental bubble, on soaking in information which constantly supports the statements you already supported, making you never learn new things. Let's all keep the conversation flowing, and not become ideologues.
