Hi Vanessa. I hope you're having a great night. I'm guessing you're out of school now, right? And I hope you don't mind a Tennessee Vol fan stopping by to say hello. ;o)

I hope you can take these facts into consideration and do what you can to mentally and emotionally prepare for the next greatest permanent global worldwide depression of never before seen epic proportions that we will never get out of.

So unless your college is paid for my your parents, and/or you are getting a great scholarship or whatever, if you are going into debt (student loans, etc) for school then that is worse off.. Because you won't be able to pay back the loans, and by that time this political environment will have so deteriorated in this country that perhaps people will be required to "debt servitude" to pay off what they own.. which in effect will result into a lifetime of modern "slavery" in one of Dick Cheney's Halliburton concentration camps that they are building all throughout the US right now..

And eventually you will realize you just won't be able to find a job much less a career in the field you are going to school for... There won't be any room for new entering members to the club if you catch my drift..
Your entire college investment (time, money, resources, life, energy, etc) will have been a negative return on investment once you realize that you have reached "point of diminishing returns" in which doing more and try harder only gets you less and less and nowhere at all..

What are you going to do with an architecture major? Do you use autocad? It's not like they are building any more residential houses anymore.. This year 2009 we are going to see the commercial housing bubble go supernova as well.. There will be hundreds of thousands of starving architects with skills and experience but there won't be a demand for more buildings and construction anymore.. So not only is the market saturated, so goes for the career of designing and building houses and buildings!
