About Me

My name is Elise. I'm a 34 year old American. I'm very interested in other cultures. I love learning languages and making friends in other countries. I am very shy and introverted, so I'm not good at starting conversations, but once I get to know someone it becomes easier for me to open up. Aside from learning foreign languages I also enjoy reading, writing and filming. I'm trying to learn about herbal medicine.

I am looking for not only language exchange partners, but people who I can become good friends with. I enjoy snail mail as well as e-mail. Either is fine with me.

My Japanese is ok as I have been learning it the longest, but I understand more than I can speak. I only know a few simple words and phrases in Irish. I can't really speak much French, as I'm more focused on learning to read it.
