There is no known reason why the Czech capital is called Praha. I tried to google it and the most reasonable explanation is the following: There are "bowls" called Pražnice - it was used for drying grains. They were also used for roasting (pražit in Czech) grains during religious rituals. In the oldest part of Praha - there was the main religious building at the time.
I know that in Polish ż becomes g. In Czech ž becomes h. :)
