About Me

I'm English, but have spent time in the past living in Japan, Italy and France. I'm an INTJ introvert, fairly quiet and introspective, happy in my own company but I still like to connect with people around the world and discover new ideas. I'm currently unemployed, but used to work at the local university, developing and managing projects. In my free time I do a lot of reading (a few books a week when I have time). I spend quite a lot of time online. I'm good at cross-stitch and knitting, and want to learn embroidery (including sashiko and kogin). I like travelling (preferably city breaks), and visiting old buildings, museums and galleries. I`m pretty bad at sports but I walk a lot and run a 5k for charity every year. Things I`m interested in include learning languages (and the polyglot community), feminism, financial independence, body positivity / fat activism. I am asexual.

Favorite Music

Rock, indie, world, dance. I don`t really have a favourite band these days, and I don't know much about new music, but I'm always happy to receive musical suggestions.

Favorite TV Shows

I watch a lot of Asian dramas, mainly BL: The Untamed, KinnPorsche, I just finished "My School President". I also like cheesy detective programmes like Murder She Wrote.

Favorite Books

Fantasy, urban fantasy and SF, LGBTQ, classics, mysteries (cosy rather than gruesome), contemporary fiction. I read through a lot of book lists so I end up reading a lot of random stuff.
