Hey there,
I'm a digital nomad, living between countries, currently on a research route at I-X, under umbrella of Imperial College London.
My interests are computer science, mathematics, travelling and natural languages (yes, studying foreign languages, reading, talking 😃).
As the first 3 things I can do alone, it's sort of difficult to practise languages the same way. I'd like to deepen my language skills via writing letters in English. I am not looking for a tutor, just want to enrich and aggrandize my knowledge.
Ideally I'd like to connect with native speakers of English, but anyone with advanced level in English (or willing to achieve fluency) is welcome! I would like to find friends in English-speaking countries: US, UK, Canada and Australia (the UK is +1 now)

I'm interested in finding people who like science, nature and nature exploration.

My hobbies are rather eclectic, but reading has always been my passion. I love modern literature and sci-fi.
I like table games - especially classical ones, like chess and go.
Since I'm a software engineer, I like building stuff and in general into technology, but it's not necessarily for you to share such interests with me, actually I'm curious about other people's takes on life and small talk is okay too

EDM, house, but I'm mostly into more tranquil genres - classical, neo-classical, avant-garde

I still like anime by some reason, I like Japanese sci-fi movies as well: sometimes they look like a silly comedy (full of rather cartoonish personages with strange scent of kabuki theater), sometimes they are envisioning the future in the most stylish way
Also I like YouTube (documentaries about nature, science and technology trends)

To be honest, I don't use this approach to kill time - there are tons of ways to do this much better

The list is too long to post here,
Some titles are worth to mention to give a brief picture:

The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan
Hyperion by Dan Simmons
Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury
Illusions : The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach
J.D. Salinger, Borges, Michel Houellebecq,
and so on
