I'm open minded Latvian, if people should be divided in cats
and dogs - I'm definitely a dog. Like a dog - I can't live
without my crowd. Now my 'crowd' is a my family - but I
still need to have more mates/friends (or in this case
pen pals). Like to discuss about everything (OK, not about
everything - definitely not about knitting:)
After 11 years I have decided to improve my profile. I must admit that being here for over 11 years wasn't a wasted time - I have obtained several good friends, some of them I have met in real life, too. Many of pen pals have disappeared, some stopped to be active in this page, some just don't replay - that's a life, no one here is obligated to do something certain, everyone has own free choice to choose persons to be in touch or not.
Requests
Don't care about race, religion or sexual orientation. I'm
not looking for any sexual relations - my life if full of
love without being here :) Maybe, even interesting could be
to have male pen pal (for example for discussions about
sport), but it isn't really important. Also, I don't promise
to answer very quickly. For me will be a pleasure to tell
pen pals everything about my country - Latvia.
(added after 1 years) - I'm looking for pen pals who is ready to write a longer message no just "hi" or "hello, how are you". Also, messages like "I want to be your friend" won't be considered as a serious attempt to establish any "penpalshift". Sorry, to recognize anybody as friend I must know that person very well. It's only normal if you're writing me to tell who are you (I don't need your CV, just tell few facts about you what aren't sensitive person data in your mind) and why have you written me (but at least several sentences not just 5 words)
I'm not looking for any certain topic to talk about, we could cover many themes, generally, almost about everything, your feelings, experience or just interest about something.
Language Exchange Requests
Actually, I rather skeptic about serious language exchange here. To improve any language you must use it in real life.
Hobbies & Interests
Sport (especially ice hockey), cooking, traveling, music, photographing (but not in serious level).
After 11 years being there I can add as one of my hobbies pen pals, too. Otherwise nothing hasn't really changed.
Favorite Music
pop & rock music from 80ies, like Depeche Mode, Alphaville, A-ha etc.
During last years I haven very few A-ha or Depeche Mode songs while I have found very enjoyable one of the lasts Alphaville albums - "Strange Attractor". Also, nowadays I'm listening quite often metal (preferably symphonic) band with female vocals - like Nightwish, Within Temptation etc.
Sometime I like to discover what are doing famous bands/artists from 80ties nowadays - what new songs they have issued during last years.
Favorite Movies
I'm not very active movie watcher either. I'm not a fan of Hollywood movies, also, I'm not enjoying Russian or Indian movies.
If I would go to cinema (it's quite rare like 5-6 movies per year) I'll choose some European movie (French, Italian, Spanish etc.), Japanese/Korean or local one. But don't ask for my favorite movie I quickly forget the names of films.
Also, sometimes I'm going to the theater - in Latvia we have strong theater traditions, many spectacles are sold out.
Favorite TV Shows
I don't watch any TV show.
Favorite Books
I'm very passive book reader, yo be honest I haven't read any book during last year. In my childhood and teenager age I have read many books.
Actually, I if would choose any book it wood be any realistic one - probably about nowadays. I'm not a fan of detectives (in spite, that I have read in my youngster age many novels by Arthur Conan Doyle, Georges Simenon and Agatha Christie) or fiction books.
In Covid era during lockdown I read many books, but choice was very impulsive, I read what I found nearby - starting from Alexandre Dumas till John Grisham (I finished some 5 or 6 books written by him; "A Painted House" was what I liked the most)
