I travel when I can, sample local foods, make new friendships & learn new languages (like everyone else here ;)) ... I have days where I feel like I want to meeting everyone, and there are times when curling up with a good book in a quiet spot by myself to take a break from the crowds is perfect.

My favorite things are exploring the world, hopefully making new friends along the way and learning about different cultures through conversation, learning new languages and catch up with new friends at favorite eateries in their neighborhoods. Or even explore with locals to find new cafes/events/books in the area. Recipes to exchange? Have stories to share? Or unique tips or suggestions on what to visit in your part of the world? English is my main language, and currently I'd like to learn Cantonese and Mandarin, but I enjoy learning all different languages, and the stories that come with other cultures.

Cheap eats or places with really good reviews (nicer restaurants once in a while), going to concerts or performances/theatre, geeking it out on some local travel (Comic-Con, a botanical garden, food popup anyone?), and books, movies. As for travel -- Europe, UK, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Canada, Japan, Peru, Spain, Denmark, Germany...  as well as domestic travel (mostly east coast and west coast so far). I came back from a brief London trip visiting friends a few months ago, and had some delicious Chinese, Malaysian, Vietnamese dishes, as well as an italian meal after a live stage show of Spirited Away... It's all about the different cultures, the people, and definitely finding new friends to share and enjoy the food or local events! Who's joining me?

Music with catchy lyrics or a good beat that soothe, energize, or I can sing along with (in a private karaoke room, a car or among friends)! Dua Lipa, Pentatonix, Florence & the Machine, Keane, Snow Patrol, Muse, The Killers, U2, Coldplay, The Neighborhood, Pretenders, Berlin, Sinatra, Ella, Beatles (of course), Benny Goodman, Classical... it's all over the map (though, really not a fan of country, bad rap or really heavy metal)

Soul, The Intouchables (wonderful french movie!), Indiana Jones, Iron Man, Star Wars (ep. 4-6), Mandalorian, Moulin Rouge, While You Were Sleeping, Singing in the Rain, Pirates of the Caribbean movies... D&W not exactly a favorite, but I did enjoy the quips/campiness and cool effects. Just the more memorable ones for now.

Stranger Things, Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who, Being Human(UK), Orphan Black, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, Dexter, Suits, Outlander, etc... I haven't watched too many recent shows except Bridgerton, Mandalorian.

A number of books, various genres (from Swedish authors writing about murder investigations, to the supernatural, to art infused Nick Bantock books, to Gabaldon's historical romance fiction), inspirational books (no, not religious ones, just amazing personal stories). Always looking for the next best read.
