Update 2016
I'm a busy working mother now. I have a smart and beautiful son, a nice husband and a job I love. I still do photography and practice kongfu. I am doing 365 project (take one picture a day) this year. I started to have my son to go to my master's kongfu class with me and I trained him every Friday evening with two of my lovely young students. I'm a lucky and happy person. I'm happy with my life. :)
Update: well.. i was volunteering in Scotland and I met my husband. Now we have a happy family and a wee baby boy. :) Having my own family, looking after my baby and my part-time work keep me very busy. lol...
Though I lead busy life, still want to make some friends who i can share my life with. I would like to find a language exchange friend so I can improve my writing ability.
Below is the introduction I typed when I first joined this site.
Hello! I am from Taiwan. Right now I am a volunteer in Edinburgh, Scotland. I have variety of interests and I am a dream catcher. I don't sit and just think about dreams but when I have chance, I will take action and complete them. I like sports, especially Chinese kongfu. I practiced it for several years. But I stopped practicing for few years coz I am too busy for other things. Finally, I have time and come back to my master and kungfu friends. I start practicing kungfu but I forgot lots of forms I learned already. That means I have to practice very hard to get my body memory back.
I am interested in art and I am a volunteer in a fine art museum. I guide exhibitions for people. It's always interesting to look at artwork and discuss the artwork with friends.
Photogaphy attracts me very much. I got my Nikon D80 one year ago and start learning how to use more professional machine. Ever since I came to Edinburgh last April, everything is so fresh for me and I started carrying my camera with me everyday. Recently, I started an international photography group here and I learn a lot from my friends in the group. Hopefully, one day I can become a professional photographer and have my own exhibition. That would be awesome!!! ;)
I like documentaries and wish to make a documentary myself. lol Two years ago I joined documentary reading club and we are helping a library make its documentary. It's quiet interesting for me though I am new to film making. Since I am in Edinburgh, without my Taiwanese documentary friends around me, I am lazier and didn't do any films but hopefully, when I go back i can start right away.
Music is my best friend. I collect lots of music, especially new age, nature music and piano music. Of course, sometimes I listen to pop music. Most of night, I sleep with music that I collect. I start listening to pop music now. The pop music in UK actually is not bad. ;)
I like travel. There are 319 towns in Taiwan and I visited all of them before 2006. Well... there are two towns I didn't really visit.. one is a small island and common people are not allowed to visit unless you live there or you are soldier who serve there. And the other town is A-Li-San.. it's a very famous town in mountain area and I know I will visit it one day. >_^ My new plan for now is to visit more cities in the UK as more as I can before I go back Taiwan. lol...
Mysterious things attracts me. I am curious about religions though I don't really belong to any of them. I learned hypnosis for fun. If I have much time and have enough money, I will join a more professional course to learn more about it. I am afraid of ghost, spirits stuff but at the same time I am interested in stories about them and like to listen to real strange experience of my friends.
I learned Chinese acupuncture skill and massage. In the beginning I think it's cool to know acupuncture points and then I found it's really useful. It not only help you but also your family. However, the acupuncture I learn is not to use needle to stick into skin because just doctors are allowed to use needles in Taiwan. I just basically use acupuncture points I learn on massage.
Books are my best friends. It's hard to imagine to live without books. I usually read books when I was waiting for bus, sitting on bus or before going to bed. lol... Recently, I joined a book club here created by my friend and we read a book a month and discuss about it.
As for my favorite music, book, music... it's difficult for me to name a favorite one coz there are so many good work. lol
Requests
I'm looking for a sincere and optimist pen pal. Just want to have some chat about life and to know more about different countries and cultures.
