About Me

Hey everyone, I'm Kate, feminist, LGBT, scientist (molecular biology), occasionaly an active member of an embarassing number of fandoms.

I come to Interpals to answer messages and leave right after finishing doing that - that's why I'm practically never online for long, except for the times than I mindlessly browse other people's profiles.

Requests

I'm not exactly good at chatting, so we'll do better writing long messages. Also I believe that profiles are a great tool for finding things to talk about and I admit to getting frustrated with having to answer questions like 'what's your name' when it'd be really easy to find it on my profile.

Language Exchange Requests

At the moment, I'm looking for someone to voice chat on discord in English once or twice per week.

I'm also looking for people to practice French and Italian with (but I'm not particularly good at either yet)

Hobbies & Interests

I spend a lot of time working, and I love my job, so most of the time I really enjoy it and like to talk about it. All the time that's left I spend either reading or learning languages, watching TV shows or writing and translating fanfiction.

I like board games and tabletop RPGs - I don't play them a lot, but always like to talk about them. Also, I like Bioware games, especially Dragon Age, and I really enjoyed playing Fallen London.

I've also got interested in comic books (mostly Marvel so far), but again, not enough time, so I haven't read a lot

Favorite Movies

All-time favourite V for Vendetta, also Marvel Cinematic Universe and Tim Burton's movies

Favorite TV Shows

In order of enjoyment/times I rewatched those: Scrubs, Avatar the Last Airbender, Brooklyn 9-9, Steven Universe, Lucifer, Gravity Falls, Over the Garden's Wall, various seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race, Coommunity, Rick and Morty, Sherlock BBC, Merlin BBC, Black Books, Downton Abbey.

Favorite Books

All of Pratchett's books, Dresden Files, Remarque, Umberto Eco. And I read a lot of fanfiction.
