Hey stranger,
If you’re sick and tired of reading boring introductions, don’t worry, so am I. 😊
Yet here you are, reading another one.
Well… If you’re already here, I should make sure that this one’s a bit less of a cliché.
So… instead of writing dull info about myself, please let me share with you some random facts that I find fascinating.
• The average reading speed of an adult is around 200–250 words per minute (meaning you can finish reading my introduction in less than 2 minutes as it is about 320 words long if I’m not mistaken).
• Hungarian language (which happens to be my mother tongue) is one of the hardest languages to learn.
• The smallest island on earth is Nauru, it is a sovereign island nation that can be found in the Micronesian South Pacific (it’s about 14 000 km away from my home so I’ll probably never visit it unfortunately).
• Both female and male pigeons share responsibility of caring for and raising young, they’re feeding them with a liquid called crop milk (disgusting as it may sound, this can help pigeons to bond better with their little ones, forming a loving family).
• The loudest frog in the world - the Puerto Rican Coquí, it’s sound can be up to 90 decibels (and they sound like a car alarm).
• Sight translation is something between translating and interpreting: a written text is interpreted orally (and it’s a lot harder at first as it seems).
This little enumeration shows you that anything can be interesting – at least for me.
If you’d like to chat and talk about things (basically anything that is not just small talk) you can write a message in English or in French, okay maybe in German too but I’ve forgotten a lot in that language… and I understand a little bit of Russian too.
